while doing things with knex i think i developed a new kind of brakes but i can test it at this moment becaus al my parts are in my coaster i have pic of the basic design zo if someone could test it for me please do it.
it uses a pullback motor and a chain

ive someone has already desinged this brakke sorry i didntwant to steal the idea

Most K'nex roller coasters on this website use a chain for their brakes.

Were you planning on having your chain dog permanently lowered? Otherwise the train would just ride past the chain.

Were you planning on having your chain dog permanently lowered? Otherwise the train would just ride past the chain.


it already thinked about that and ofcours i wil permanentl lower it with a rubber band

Or add a second stationary chaindog, maybe easier.

I still don't know what makes this different than just a regular chain brake. Does the chain move backwards while the train goes over it?

sometimes it depends on the speed of the trainand the lengt of the cable
